I approach psychotherapy as a relational and depth-oriented process, where lasting change emerges through careful attention to the patterns that shape emotional life and relationships.
In my work, I attend closely to what unfolds between us - how you experience yourself, how you anticipate and respond to others, and how these patterns take shape in the therapy itself. This allows us to move beyond insight alone and into a more immediate, lived understanding of your experience.
My practice is best suited for individuals who are interested in depth work and who are willing to engage with emotional complexity over time. I do not take a directive or solution-focused approach; instead, I work collaboratively to explore the underlying meanings of what you are experiencing. This does not mean that I do not address acute distress or take seriously your symptoms: I care deeply for each of my patients and work hard to assess and meet their needs.
I bring a warm, attentive, and deeply engaged presence to this work. I hold my patients in high regard and approach each person with care, respect, and genuine curiosity. I am committed to the process, and I go beyond a surface-level engagement in order to fully understand and support the work you are doing. At the same time, this is not a passive or purely supportive treatment. It asks for honesty, reflection and a willingness to stay engaged, all of which takes time, and patience from both of us.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified group psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience. I have advanced training in contemporary psychoanalysis, and I work with individuals, couples and groups.
This work is something I hold with a great deal of respect. It can be demanding, but it also has the potential to be deeply moving and transformative. I consider it a privilege to be part of that process.
